What is a
Manufactured Home?
Manufactured homes are homes that are factory built in a purpose built facility. The majority of homes are fabricated and assembled by a team of tradespeople, meaning you can rely on the manufactured homes builder to complete the entire process for you. Manufactured homes are primarily built for manufactured retirement homes, park villages and estates.
The homes are built in a controlled, systematic environment which makes them superior in quality and construction. They are engineered to handle the stresses of travel and built to withstand lifting and movement. The chassis and floor joists are made of steel which not only gives the home a solid foundation, they, along with the treated timber frame used throughout, are immune to the effects of termites, white ants and other pests adding extra security for the new home owner.
Buying a manufactured home
There is a vast array of home designs to choose from; ranging from small cabins; a perfect first home choice or excellent holiday house, to three and four bedroom designs, some with ensuites and studies. These designs are an ideal home for your residential or rural location. If you are unable to find a design that best suits your needs, most manufacturers offer a custom built solution to ensure you get the home of your dreams.
Most homes take approximately 4 to 8 weeks to build. The completion of the home on site depends on site conditions and weather. Once the home is delivered to site, practical completion can be achieved within 2-4 weeks on a standard home and deck. This means your relocatable home can be completed and installed on site within approx 8 to 12 weeks.
